ARROW OF LIGHT (AOL) CEREMONIES

FOR

CUB SCOUT PACKS IN THE NORTH TRAIL DISTRICT

WHO DOES IT?

They are performed by AOL Ceremony teams from the Yanush (North Trail District) Chapter of the Mikinakawa Lodge of Circle Ten Council.

WHEN ARE THEY DONE?

The ceremonies are typically done when the Second Year Webelos achieve Arrow of the Light Rank and crossover into a Boy Scout Troop.

WHY ARE THEY DONE?

These ceremonies are an effective way to recognize those Webelos earning the Arrow of Light award, while at the same time motivating them to continue on the Scouting Trail to Eagle by joining a Boy Scout Troop. They also inspire Tigers, Wolfs, and Bears who witness them to stick with the Scouting program.

HOW ARE THE CEREMONIES SCHEDULED?

The Cubmaster should contact the Yanush OA Chapter AOL Advisor or Dale Grantham at (972) 733-4179. Scheduling will be handled on a first come-first served basis, subject to Ceremony Team availability and date conflicts. We will make every effort to accommodate all requests, but Cubmasters should understand that some “date negotiation” may be necessary.
